The forum will focus on oil mist formation in the crankcase of diesel engines, in gearboxes and compressors and we invite contributors to discuss its origin, its detection and how this message can be used to avoid engine failures and engine room accidents. Reference is made to the IMO rules for oil mist detectors and equivalent devices and to a desirable "oil mist detection efficiency approval!"
All interested individuals in the marine field or in the power plant business are invited to participate. Based on the curriculum, which we will publish in this website we ask for comments/presentations from manufactures and users as well as experts in research, classification or Insurance companies.
